About Me


Sala as known by many- hails from none other place than “O Le Motusa o Manu’atele.  She has more than 30 years of Nursing Professional experiences in supervision, management and administration.  As a community leader and an active strong health advocate, she has an in-depth knowledge of Pacific Islanders(PI) and their communities, and is proficient in many aspects of community organizing and outreaching, collaboration and advocacy. Her commitment as a strong health advocate for Pacific Islanders on local, state, and national levels had provided increased opportunities for creating new partnerships with many other stakeholders with her community.  Sala is constantly working to improve the lives of those around her and those of her PI communities. Sala is committed to support and join the fight and struggle to reverse the trends of health disparities not only in her communities but all communities. She has served on various taskforces, steering committees, boards and councils on local, state and national levels.  Sala is grateful and proud to be part of this SAI AWARDS LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE.
